Fire Road: The Napalm girl’s journey through the horrors of war to
faith, forgiveness, and peace
by Kim Phuc Phan Thi
In 1972, during the Vietnam war, a nine year old girl came screaming out of her village. Her name was Kim. She had been badly burning by napalm. So much so that she was not expected to live. The man (Nick Ut) who took her picture also picked her up and took her to the hospital. After many surgeries and a long hospital stay Kim returned home. She was still in torturous pain. This is the story of her journey from pain to peace.
Fire Road is the best book of read this year. It is about lessons learned from the crucible of severe trial. I highly recommend it.
