Blog Transformation Underway

Dear Friend — Life can become unbearably difficult at times. When it does then what? I can look to myself. I can look for escape. I can look to others. I can look to politicians. Really, this list is endless. There are many people, places and things I can look to for help and hope.

The problem with looking within or around is everything is subjected to the same frailties I see in myself. I may find help for awhile but eventually looking to me or others is bound to fail.

When I personally have a problem I either start praying or sit down at my computer and start typing. If I am in tuned to Jesus this affects what I write. Jesus is the greatest, most magnificent, never failing hope I have. The thing is this, I haven’t always communicated this to you, my reader.

Therefore, this blog has been undergoing a transformation. First, the tag line has changed to “Words of Hope.” Second, the colors are new and bright. My hope is that this blog will be a place of answers for today’s challenges. Because Jesus lives everything written here will be signed off with BE YE GLAD!

I have to admit sometimes my life gets so heavy I get stuck in the muck and mire. I forget to look up. We all do. I am just as broken as anyone. When I fail to look up, I hope someone reminds me to look to Jesus.¹

This blog was named after the song “Be Ye Glad” by Kelly Blanchard. I would like you to read the words of this song. You can read them by clicking here (and scroll down) or by clicking the “About” tab on the home page. The lyrics start out rather bleak. Even the tune is in the minor key. But Oh! The Chorus. How different the Chorus is!

In just the same way our lives take on a whole new tone, when Jesus comes in, no matter how messy things have become. JESUS is the answer to each and every problem. First, he is the answer to our sin problem. Then He is the answer to every other problem, even if His answer is no or wait, even if His answer comes indirectly from another source.

Where does our help come from? Our help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.²

You got a problem? JESUS is your answer.

I love Jesus! He is my eternal hope, fullness of joy, calm in the storm and so much more. I enjoy reading, cooking, blogging and bird watching. I have two wonderful kids and a loving husband. God is good.

      1. Me too!! Reminded me of the Pentatonix group, although I’m not sure they’re a Christian group but they sing some of the old Christmas hits and they sound remarkable!
