WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry ev’rything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry ev’rything to God in prayer!

A book¹ I once read quoted this verse, “Those who believe in the Son of God have a testimony of God in them.”² Our testimonies or stories are unique. God wants us to be intentional about sharing them. Mine is about how a church lady became a Christian. This may sound a bit backwards. At the same time, you may relate.
I have a sincere conviction that marriage is a covenant agreement between a man and a woman. This conviction is based on the Bible. I believe the Bible is God’s inspired, infallible and authoritative Word.
When the weather got warm the kids in my neighborhood used to play Ante Over. We would say “Annie-Annie Over” then throw a ball over the house. We used different balls but found a baseball worked the best because throwing over the house was quite a ways over.
In my distress I send up prayers to God. When God answers my little, inadequate prayers I am always amazed. Compared to the grand scheme of things, my prayers are trivial and trite. God surely has more important things to do.
On Sundays when I was kid, I would dress up in my Sunday best, go to church, sing praises to God, hear a great sermon and go home to a big Sunday dinner. When I grew up I continued the same practice. Plus I read the Bible, attended Bible study and sang in the choir.
When the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Galatians 4:5 NASB
