Today is my Dad’s birthday. He would have been 95. The song below reminds me of him. It was sung at his funeral thirteen years ago. The picture above also reminds me of dad, accept he was a fly fisherman. Dad was most happy fishing. He brought home some awesome trout. Happy Birthday Dad! 🎂

My Dad did not play golf in Japan

On this day, December 7, 1941, Japan Air Raided Pearl Harbor.

I was afraid of my dad. Even as an adult I couldn’t be alone with him in the same room without trembling. My dad was a veteran of WWII. As soon as he graduated high school and received a diploma, he signed up for the draft at the next table. No young man of able body was exempt. After basic training he was shipped to the Asiatic Pacific Theater.
